नई दिल्ली, 22 अक्टूबर 2018: महेंद्र सिंह धोनी और गौतम गंभीर राजनीति में एंट्री कर सकते हैं। दोनों के चुनाव लड़ने को लेकर राजनीतिक गलियारियों में चर्चा तेज है। मीडिया ख़बरों की माने तो, महेंद्र सिंह धोनी और क्रिकेटर गौतम गंभीर 2019 में होने वाले आम चुनाव में अपनी किस्मत आजमा सकते हैं। चर्चा ये भी है कि दोनों बीजेपी की टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ेंगे और अपने-अपने राज्यों में कमान संभालेंगे। कहा तो यह भी जा रहा है कि गौतम गंभीर के साथ-साथ भारतीय क्रिकेट के पूर्व कप्तान और रांची के राजकुमार एमएस धोनी भाजपा के साथ अपने राज्य झारखंड से चुनावी मैदान में उतरेंगे।
मीडिया ख़बरों के अनुसार दिल्ली से भाजपा की सांसद मीनाक्षी लेखी को हटाकर गौतम गंभीर को लाने की कोशिश है। वहीं महेंद्र सिंह धोनी झारखंड में कहा से चुनाव लड़ेंगे इस बात की पुष्टी नहीं हो पायी है। राजनीतिक गलियारों में चर्चा है कि धोनी रांची या धनबाद से चुनाव लड़ सकते हैं. द संडे गार्डियन को दिए गए साक्षात्कार में भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता ने बयान दिया है कि मीनाक्षी लेखी के काम को लेकर अच्छी खबरें नहीं मिली हैं, साथ ही उनके चुनावी क्षेत्र के लोग उनके काम से बिलकुल संतुष्ट नहीं हैं।
जिसके चलते पार्टी के प्रमुख नेताओं ने निर्णय लिया है कि इस बार चुनाव में मीनाक्षी लेखी को मौका नहीं दिया जाएगा। उम्मीद है कि लेखी कि जगह गंभीर को दिल्ली से भाजपा का टिकट दिया जाए। गंभीर एक चर्चित चेहरा होने के साथ-साथ अपने सामाजिक कार्यों के लिए भी जाने जाते हैं. भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता ने आगे कहा कि, दोनों खिलाड़ियों की देश भर में स्वीकार्यता, सम्मान और विश्वसनीयता है।
