    मैं और मेरी तन्हाई अक्सर सपनों में भूतों से बातें करते हैं

    अक्सर रात में मुझे भूतों के दिलकश सपने आते हैं। डरिए मत। मैं सच कह रहा हूं। लगता, मैं भूतों के बीच हूं। उनसे बातें कर रहा हूं। वे मुझसे गप्पे लड़ा रहे हैं। देश-दुनिया का हाल-चाल मुझसे ले रहे हैं। ये वो भूत नहीं होते, जो अक्सर फिल्मों और किस्से-कहानियों में देखने व सुनने को मिलते हैं। ये भूत ‘कुछ अलग’ किस्म के होते। पेशेवर भूतों से अलग। इनसे बात कर डर नहीं लगता। डर तो वैसे भी मन का भरम है।

    भूतों के साथ कुछ देर सपनों में रहकर जान पाया कि वे दरअसल वो नहीं होते, हमने जो उन्हें बना दिया है। वे वो हैं, जैसा आम इंसान होता है। फर्क बस इतना है कि वे भूत हैं और हम इंसान। वैसे, मैं इंसानों को भूत से कम नहीं मानता। भूत इंसानों से फिर भी बेहतर होते हैं। भूतों में इंसानों की तरह छल-कपट नहीं होती। भूत आपस में स्नेह से रहते हैं। उनके बीच जाति-धर्म की दीवारें नहीं होतीं।

    रात में मुझे भूत कहीं भी चलते, हंसते, खेलते दिख जाते हैं। एक दिन तो अहसास हुआ कि भूत मेरे कमरे के बाहर जाल पर टहल रहा है। बस उसकी पूंछ नजर आती। कभी-कभार एक आंख भी दिख जाती। भूत काले कपड़ों में नहीं, रंग-बिरंगे कपड़ों में नजर आते। वे मुझे देख मुस्कुरा रहे होते। मुझे उन्हें देखकर डर नहीं लगता। खुशी होती कि मैंने भूत को देखा है। सपने में भूत से आमना-सामना हंसी-खेल नहीं।

    मैं जब किसी भूत से बात करता मुझे ‘आत्मिक शांति’ मिलती। लगता कोई अपना बात कर रहा है। मैं उनसे उनके भूत बनने की प्रक्रिया पूछता, वे बताते। इंसानों से उन्हें बड़ी शिकायतें रहतीं। कहते- दुनिया में उन्हें जितना बदनाम इंसानों ने किया, किसी और ने नहीं। कोशिश उनकी यही रहती कि इंसानों से हट-बचकर रहें। भूतों को इंसानों के बीच रहकर सुख नहीं मिलता। इंसान भूतों से बचने के जाने क्या-क्या टोटके करता रहता है। भूत कहते- इंसानों में वैज्ञानिक चिंतन का अभाव है।

    जबकि, यह बात मैं दावे के साथ कह सकता हूं, भूतों जितना वैचारिक जीव मैंने न कहीं देखा न सुना। भूतों के आगे बुद्धिजीवी भी फेल हैं। भूत बहुत प्रोगेसिव होते हैं। न अपने विचार किसी पर थोपते न किसी के विचार खुद पर लादते। एकदम स्वतंत्र रहते। राजनीति उनमें लेश-मात्र भी नहीं होती। चीजों को वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण से देखते व परखते हैं।

    मेरे विचार में, भूतों के प्रति अपनी सोच हमें बदलनी होगी। वहां-वहां की सैर एक दफा जरूर करनी होगी, जहां-जहां भूत पाए जाते हैं। भूतों से यारी जरूरी है। पर इसके लिए हिम्मत चाहिए। मेरे शहर में एक वियावनी कोठी है। मैं अक्सर वहां भूतों से मिलने चला जाता हूं।

    सच बताऊं, मैं भूतों से सपनों के अलावा वास्तविकता में भी मिलना चाहूंगा। हर मुद्दे पर उनसे बात करना चाहूंगा। लोगों के उनके प्रति रहे डर को निकालना चाहूंगा। हर भूत डरावना नहीं होता, यह बात लोगों को बताना चाहूंगा। और मैं यह भी चाहूंगा कि अगला जन्म मुझे भूत के रूप में ही मिले। भूत की दुनिया में रहकर जीना चाहूंगा।
