आधिकारिक प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि जम्मू कश्मीर के पर्यटन (प्रचार) विभाग के उप निदेशक पीरजादा जहूर ने चेन्नई में यह पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया। ट्रेवल मार्ट के दौरान सुंदर तरीके से सजाए गए राज्य के स्टॉल्स ने अधिकतर लोगों तथा ट्रेवल एजेंटों को आकर्षित किया था।
उन्होंने बताया कि पर्यटन विभाग ने गत तीन वर्षों में दक्षिण भारतीय लोगों को राज्य की यात्रा पर आने के लिए लुभाने की बेहतर कोशिश की है। राज्य के कई ट्रेवल एजेंटों ने भी इस कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया तथा लोगों को राज्य के पर्यटन स्थलों के बारे में जानकारी दी।
