भारत में प्राचीन काल से ही स्वास्थ के प्रति चेतना और जागरूकता रही है। विश्व के अनेक हिस्सों में जब सभ्यता का विकास नहीं हुआ था, भारत में आयुर्वेद की रचना हो चुकी थी। पातंजलि ने योगशास्त्र की रचना की थी। धन्वंतरि और चरक का चिकित्सा शास्त्र भी प्रिसिद्ध था।यह कहा जा सकता है कि स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता भारतीय जीनव शैली में समाहित थी। समय के साथ यह जीवन जीवन शैली बदलती रही। कुछ दशक पहले तक मोटा अनाज प्रचलित था। ये सब छूटता गया। अब तो पाश्चात्य सभ्यता का प्रभाव बढ़ रहा है। उनके यहां प्रचलित खाद्य सामग्री को अपनाना फैशन की पहचान बनता जा रहा है। भारत और यूरोप की जलवायु में बहुत अंतर है। लेकिन इस बात पर विचार नहीं किया गया कि हमारे लिए क्या उचित है। अंधानुकरण अनेक समस्याएं बढा रहा है। कम उम्र में अनेक बीमारियां हो रही है। मानसिक तनाव और एकाकी परिवार व्यवस्था के भी नुकसान हो रहे है। इन सबके बीच अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल थी। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघ में योग दिवस का प्रस्ताव किया। इस पर सबसे कम समय में सर्वाधिक देशों के समर्थन का रिकार्ड बन गया। इक्कीस जून अब अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस बन गया। विश्व इसकी वैज्ञानिकता को स्वीकार किया गया है।
हृदय रोग से भी बड़ी संख्या लोग परेशान हो रहे है। ऐसे में उचित आहार व योग से लेकर स्वास्थ सेवाओं और अनुसंधान की आवश्यकता है। इसी प्रकार के विचार उपराष्ट्रपति वेंकैया नायडू, उत्तर प्रदेश के राज्यपाल राम नाईक और देश के वरिष्ठ हृदय रोग विशेषज्ञों ने व्यक्त किये। संजय गांधी स्नातकोत्तर आर्युविज्ञान संस्थान, लखनऊ में कार्डियोलाॅजिकल सोसायटी आफ इण्डिया द्वारा तीन दिवसीय सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन उपराष्ट्रपति वेंकैया नायडू ने किया था। इस अवसर पर उत्तर प्रदेश के राज्यपाल राम नाईक, कार्डियोलाॅजिकल सोसायटी आफ इण्डिया के अध्यक्ष डा केसी गोस्वामी, निदेशक संजय गांधी स्नातकोत्तर आर्युविज्ञान संस्थान के निदेशक डा राकेश कपूर सहित देश एवं विदेशों से आये हृदय रोग विशेषज्ञों, सोसायटी के वरिष्ठ पदाधिकारीगण सहित अन्य विशिष्टजन उपस्थित थे।
उप-राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि स्वस्थ राष्ट्र ही सम्पन्न एवं समृद्ध राष्ट्र बन सकता है। स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में अधिक निवेश की आवश्यकता है। वर्तमान समय की जीवन शैली, भागा दौड़ की जिन्दगी, खान पान में बदलाव तथा शारीरिक परिश्रम का न होना अनेक बीमारियों का मुख्य कारण है। इलाज के साथ-साथ रोगों से कैसे बचा जाय, इस पर भी जोर देने की आवश्यकता है। बड़े अस्पताल केवल शहरी क्षेत्र तक सीमित हैं। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में अद्यतन चिकित्सा सुविधा पहुंचाने की ओर अधिक ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है। सरकार, चिकित्सक और मीडिया समाज में जागरूकता फैलाने में अग्रणी भूमिका निभा सकते हैं।
उप राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि ईश्वर के बाद लोग चिकित्सकों को स्थान देते हैं। चिकित्सीय सेवा कमीशन नही मिशन के भाव से करें। चिकित्सक अपनी सेवाएं प्रदान करने में आनन्द महसूस करें। पैंतीस वर्ष से कम आयु के पच्चीस प्रतिशत लोग हृदय रोग से ग्रसित हो रहे हैं। जंक फूड और पश्चिमी रहन सहन अधिकांश बीमारी की जड़ है। रोगी सेवा में ज्यादा समय देना महा आनन्द का कार्य होना चाहिए। विशेषज्ञ अनुसंधान के माध्यम से अपने ज्ञान का वर्द्धन करें। योग, शारीरिक एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है। विदेशों में योग के केन्द्र खुले हैं।
राज्यपाल राम नाईक ने उपस्थित लोगों को भारतीय नववर्ष की बधाई देते हुए कहा कि भारतीय नववर्ष सभी के जीवन में सुख और समृद्धि का संचार करे। राज्यपाल ने कहा कि वह कार्डियोलाॅजी के बारे में ज्यादा चर्चा नहीं कर सकते विख्यात उर्दू शायर मिर्जा ग़ालिब के एक शेर दिल ए नादां तुझे हुआ क्या है, आखिर इस दर्द की दवा क्या है, को उदधृत करते हुए कहा कि उनकी इच्छा है कि सम्मेलन में ऐसा विचार विमर्श हो जिससे पीड़ित मानवता को हृदय रोग के दर्द से राहत मिले। बदलती जीवन शैली, अनुचित खान-पान और बिना व्यायाम के दिनचर्या ही हृदय रोग का बड़ा कारण है।
हृदय रोग के रोगी न सिर्फ बढ़ रहे हैं बल्कि हृदय रोग विकसित देशों के साथ साथ विकासशील देशों में भी फैल रहा है। हृदय रोग के कारण निम्न एवं मध्यम आय वर्ग के लोगों पर आर्थिक बोझ भी बढ़ रहा है। पहले लोगों का मानना था कि हृदय रोग केवल सम्पन्न एवं धनी लोगों का रोग है पर आज ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में भी आम आदमी हृदय रोग से पीड़ित है। हमें इलाज के साथ-साथ लोगों को रोग से बचाव के बारे में शिक्षित करने की आवश्यकता है। जीवन की आपा-धापी और भाग दौड़ से होने वाला मानसिक तनाव भी रोग का कारण है। उन्होंने कहा कि योग मन को शान्ति देता है। विशेषज्ञों एवं चिकित्सकों को नवोन्वेषण और अद्यतन ज्ञान के माध्यम से रोगियों को निदान दिलाने का प्रयास करना चाहिए।
हृदय रोग विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार इंटरवेंशन कार्डियोलॉजी के विकास के चलते आज दिल की करीब अस्सी प्रतिशत बीमारियों का इलाज बिना सर्जरी संभव हुआ है। एंजियोप्लास्टी तो हम लोग ढाई दशक से प्रचलन में है। अब वॉल्व रिप्लेसमेंट भी इस तकनीक से होने लगा है। वॉल्व रिप्लेसमेंट अभी मंहगा है भविष्य में इसकी कीमत कम हो सकती है। अधिवेशन में पन्द्रह सौ हृदय रोग विशेषज्ञ शामिल हुए। अनेक विशेषज्ञ दूसरे देशों से भी आये थे। शैक्षणिक सत्र में इन विशेषज्ञों ने भविष्य में आने वाली चुनौतियों के अनुरूप अनुसंधान पर चर्चा की। शोध पत्रों के माध्यम से जानकारी का आदान प्रदान किया गया।
