नई दिल्ली, 09 मार्च 2019: रांची में खेले गए तीसरे वनडे में विराट का शतक काम न आया और टीम इंडिया को हार का सामना करना पड़ा, वजह स्पिनरों की लचर गेंदबाजी और बाद में बाकी बल्लेबाजों की ढीली बैटिंग टीम इंडिया को नुकसान पहुंचा गयी।
बता दें कि विराट कोहली ने एक बार फिर शानदार बल्लेबाजी का नजारा पेश करके वनडे में 41वां शतक लगाया लेकिन फिर भी टीम इंडिया हार गयी। तीसरे वनडे में इंडिया को आस्ट्रेलिया के हाथों शुक्रवार को 32 रन से हार का सामना करना पड़ा।
कोहली ने लगातार दूसरे मैच में शतक जमाया। उन्होंने 95 गेंदों पर 123 रन की आकर्षक पारी खेली जिसमें 16 चौके और एक छक्का शामिल है। लेकिन उन्हें दूसरे छोर से किसी भी बल्लेबाज का सहयोग नहीं मिला और 314 रन के लक्ष्य का पीछा कर रही टीम इंडिया 48.2 ओवर में 281 रन पर आउट हो गई।
कोहली ने अपनी पारी के दौरान कप्तान के रूप में वनडे में 4000 रन भी पूरे किए। आस्ट्रेलिया ने पांच विकेट पर 313 रन बनाए थे। उसकी तरफ से उस्मान ख्वाजा (113 गेंदों पर 104 रन) ने वनडे में अपना पहला शतक जमाया और आरोन ¨फच (99 गेंदों पर 93 रन) के साथ पहले विकेट के लिए 193 रन जोड़े।
एक समय ऐसा आया जब भारत का स्कोर तीन विकेट पर 27 रन हो गया। महेंद्र सिंह धोनी के क्रीज पर उतरते ही दर्शक उत्साह से भर गए। अपने घरेलू मैदान पर संभवत: अपना आखिरी मैच खेल रहे इस विकेट कीपर बल्लेबाज ने आफ स्पिनर नाथन लियोन पर छक्का जड़कर अपने पुराने तेवर भी दिखाए लेकिन लेग स्पिनर एडम जंपा की गेंद उनके बल्ले का किनारा लेकर विकेटों में समा गई और जेएससीए स्टेडियम को सांप सूंघ गया।
धोनी ने 42 गेंदों पर 26 रन बनाए और कोहली के साथ चौथे विकेट के लिए 59 रन जोड़े। कोहली पहली गेंद से ही लय में दिखे और उन्होंने फिर से बल्लेबाजी खूबसूरत पक्ष का जबर्दस्त नमूना पेश किया।
